We’re already four versions into OS X 10.11, released in September of 2015, and there are still major issues for DJs, software, and hardware with every new update. This time it’s Pioneer DJ warning users of Serato and their DDJ-controller line that the devices will not be recognized in the new update.
Pioneer - DDJ-SX2 INSTALLATION Firmware & Drivers Firmware: Firmware: Update the firmware of the unit to the latest version from Pioneer Dj Drivers: Install the latest drivers from Pioneer Dj VirtualDJ 8 Setup Download and install VirtualDJ 8 from our Downloads Page (in case you have not done already) Once VirtualDJ 8 is launched, a Login Window will appear.
Editor’s Update (3/8/16): Serato has announced that they now have this issue fixed with an OS X 10.11.4 + DDJ + Serato: Not Working Pioneer DJ and sent out an email to DJs around the world using their products to not upgrade to the newest, latest version of Apple’s OS X operating system, 10.11.4.
