I purchased the Microham USB III after giving up on the Rigblaster Pro for use with my FT5000, HRD 6.x and DM 780. I just could not get the COM port requirements figured out with a USB only computer (even using two USB to Serial converters). If so, that always confuses me. However, good > to see you join the Microham 'club', I used the Microkeyer.one of my > best ever ham investments. > Actually I think Simon has been an advocate of the microham/microkeyer for a while. Certainly I found out about them through his HRD pages and a recommendation when the 897 first came out.

MicroHAM USB III Computer-Rig Interface microHAM USB III Computer-Rig Interface I have used the microHAM USB III Computer-Rig Interface for since 2016. I use it on my Icom 756 Pro III. It has been a good and rock solid interface without any issues whatsoever.
It’s the nature of business to standardize on, well, standards, and both the media behemoth Adobe and the Office behemoth Microsoft (both with monthly subscription plans) are what corporations use. Hot to get photoshop for free mac.
The nice thing about the microHAM USB III Computer-Rig Interface is that it replaces several pieces of other equipment and handles everything in this one device. These USB Interfaces provide a solution to the lack of available Serial (COM) ports on laptop and newer desktop computers for controlling your radio. The USB interface III includes full optical isolation of all control signals (radio control, CW, PTT and Squelch) and built-in USB soundcard with front panel level controls for transmit via your transceiver's Accessory audio input and the constant level (pre-volume control) audio output. MicroHAM USB Interfaces have built-in hardware support for your radio - you no longer need additional level converters like CT-62, IF-232, FIF-232, CT-17. USB Interface III includes support for CW keying (DTR) and PTT (RTS) as well as a detector/driver for pseudo-FSK and QSK CW on the soundcard's right audio channel for use with FLDIGI on any platform. Unlike common mass market computer 'USB to Serial adapters' this USB Interface is designed for maximum immunity from strong RFI and at the same time be 'RF quiet'. Each data line is low pass filtered for minimum interference.
