Does Pc Cd Key Work For Mac Steam
So I just upgraded my FFXIV account with Heavensward by buying it on Steam, and when I launch my game I can't acces the new stuff. So I went on the MogStation and indeed it doesn't say that I own Heavensward. So I went in Account Services, then in enter the code to register the expansion, and typed the CD-Key that Steam is telling me when I right-click on my FFXIV game in my library but it says that the key is invalid. I made sure that I didn't misstyped anything but no, it's not accepting it. What should I do?

Tried it, didn't work. But I did found on the Steam Reviews this: Should have in BIG RED LETTERS: 'If you created your account before your purchased this game on Steam, you cannot activate the Steam version of this expansion. EVEN if you own the Steam version of the game. The account MUST have been created after buying the Steam version of the game for this to work.' This is my situation, I was playing FFXIV before it game on Steam and then I switched.
So is that true?! Did I just threw 35€ out the window? All I have to do is hoping for the best, but to be honest that 'This version of FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward is only compatible with the Steam version of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.' Thing is a bit clunky, it should talk about the account itself, it's easy to 'misunderstand' it and a lot of people are in my situation now.
Underserved Mac gamers, now you can play any PC game on your Mac without. All supported GeForce NOW titles work on Macs. From Steam, Uplay, and other popular digital stores, you can play your favorite PC games on. Key Benefits.
This experience with Heavensward has left a bad taste in my mouth for both SE and Steam.I tried to convert my account away from Steam only to find out I can't.without losing everything.all because I like physical CEs versus digital only. So I shall be out $200 when it's all said and done because I made the mistake of supporting Steam. I accepted the odd incompatibility of the CD Keys, but SE has helped to make this a horrible experience. Ultimately it is my fault for wanting STUFF though. Take away from this experience though is either do NOT buy MMOs from Steam or plan to potentially be limited purely to Steam for useage of game to never own another physical Collector's Edition so long as Steam controls your game.
