Dec 14, 2015 - I uninstalled and installed chrome following the steps here. This will only work if you sign out of your Google account in Chrome. I also had to delete my Mac keychain, and then Google Chrome would ask to. Annoying Safari pop up when I click show password in preferences and no favicon support.

I really struggled with this. One Vista computer was fine and Chrome started perfectly every time.

The other ALWAYS required me to 'run as administrator'. It appears I've fixed it.

You may want to try: 1) right click on the desktop shortcut, then 'open file location' 2) run the 'chrome' application in the file directory and install as usual (I don't know why but it is necessary even though Chrome is already installed) 3) right click the chrome application in the file directory and UNCHECK any reference to 'run as administrator' 4) completely REMOVE (delete) all Chrome shortcuts (startmenu, desktop, quickstart) - if you don't do this it won't work 5) go back to the chrome application in the file directory and create shortcuts from the application file. I don't know why but this completely fixed my problem. I now get Chrome working on a double click. No administrator password required at all. Btw, after all this I found one shortcut that I hadn't deleted with the others.

It required my admin pwd. I deleted the shortcut and replaced it with another (step 5 above). It worked fine. I'm using vista home premium, with UAC on. Perhaps I've been lucky.

Steam for mac os. I wish you all luck. RGX analyst 27/4/2009, 15:44 น.
