The only way I know of doing this is to create a Raw query search in Outlook. If you are looking for a static search, to be saved as a Smart Folder, you can use this method to achieve what you're looking for. Up untill Tuesday last week I did not have any problems. Log on, Download new emails, bingo all done. No software has been installed on this machine. Vlc player mac osx 10.4. Windows 7 Pro, 4Gig Ram. Office 2016, installed for a few months with no problems. Overnight something changed there were no windows updates, as i have them selected so that i run them when required. Since Tuesday the following has been happening.

ALL the emails in ALL my accounts were downloading. Every time i sent and recieved, Which at over 5000 a time was a pain. All my Accounts are pop3 with leave a copy on the server selected. I have done the following. Run scanpst.exe which said there were errors, and were fixed No joy, all emails re downloaded. Deleted all the e-mail accounts and reinstalled all the e-mail accounts.

No joy, after the initial download of all the e-mails which was to be expected subsequent send and recieve still downloads all e-mails. Deleted outlook.pst and allowed it to be recreated. No joy, all e-mails still downloading. Selected each e-mail account and then repair from the menu options. No joy, all e-mails still downloading.

Deleted all E-mail accounts & then deleted outlook.pst Ran Outlook, shutdown outlook, and run again then added E-mail accounts. Again after the initial download of all the e-mails all subsequent send and recieve still download all emails. The only thing I have not done yet is to reinstall Outlook. This is driving me potty as I fix PC's normally and very rarely do i get stumped by something. Avast scans show no viruses, No background programs running that are unnecessary, No malware. Anyideas Cheers Mac.

Known issue caused by the latest update to OL'2016 involving those using POP email accounts with the option checked for 'Leave messages on server' and value in '# of days'. I am having the same issue, but I am in a position where I can't go back. There is actually another variants of this event, that is even worse.

Been testing this for 3 days now. I have demonstrated, and it appears to be timing, that Outlook 2016 can delete an email on the server, WITHOUT downloading it. And you will never see that email. I am convinced this is happening. This is my main computer, with a relatively fresh Windows 10 install and a new Office365 - 2016 install, no reverting possible. Any solutions for this.

I just spent 2 hours on the phone with Microsoft support, and it was painful. The support people seem to be getting, and there is no nice way to say this, dumber. After doing a remote session, one of the support members said my computer was on a domain. I told her she was wrong, three times. She insisted that was the issue. She then transferred me to someone else. That person said that the problem was the email servers.
